The intension is to coordinate and work together with other Interreg projects working on related issues as those of COINCO North. IBU-Øresund and Scandria are two of the projects that are both approved for funding through the Interreg programme.
IBU-Øresund is a Swedish-Danish Interreg project intending to produce strategic background material for the development of the Øresund region. The project period is July 2008 - December 2010. Their budget is 3,8 million Euro, excluding in-kind work done by the partners.
The project is similar to COINCO North in many ways when it comes to partner structure and working methods. So far a study on the infrastructure has been completed, and a lot of the results will be relevant as background material for the COINCO North project as well. The potential for working together is considerable and it is in the interest of both projects to work closely when it comes to the exchange of information and experience.
Another approved Interreg IV B project is SCANDRIA North (Scandinavian-Adriatic Corridor of Growth and Innovation). This is a project with a geography coevring far more than COINCO North: Oslo - Stockholm - the South of Finland - Berlin - the South of Germany - down to the Adriatic sea.
COINCO North, represented by Oslo Teknopol, joins as an associated partner in this project. Both projects will have a main focus on infrastructure. The idea of participating as an associated partner in SCANDRIA North is among other things to take advantage of the opportunity to find synergies between the projects and possibly organise a conference together during the project periods.
