The building and development of high-speed trains in Europe and the rest of the world is exploding. In Europe alone today's capacity will be trebled before 2020. Time, environment and comfort are the main reasons to why trains are rapidly winning new shares in the market. Knowledge based businesses depend on efficient links between local, regional and global destinations. This gives geographical areas where a number of infrastructure systems are connected an advantage.
Building railways suitable for high speed trains means narrowing down the landscape by linking large geographic areas together. Time beats distance and will result in a connected metro system on a continental level. The main goal for COINCO North is to develop the stretch between Oslo-Göteborg-Copenhagen, to make sure this distance will be a part of the rest of the European network by 2025.![]()
